Crane Operator/ Inspector Training We offer three ways to train your people... |
PCI can develop a site-specific crane operator training program designed to meet the needs of your specific industry and facility. Safe crane operation and pre-shift inspections are a critical part of your overall safety plan.
PCI instructors come to you, on your schedule. Our training is available when and where you need it. We provide all classroom materials, presentation equipment, demonstration items and hands-on practice.
OPERATOR TRAINING Crane operator safety classes can be tailored to meet your needs. Classes generally run 1 to 2 hours, with a hands-on section immediately following the classroom instruction. Participants will learn crane regulations, pre-shift inspection procedures and safe crane operation. All participants will receive a certification card upon successful completion.
OPERATOR TRAINING—TRAIN-THE TRAINER Do you have a lot of operators to train? Why not certify your own people to present the crane operator training program. Our train the trainer certification program will allow you to conduct training and refresher courses whenever the need arises.
CRANE INSPECTOR TRAINING Crane inspector classes are five days of intensive multi-media classroom and hands-on training. We prefer to train your inspectors on your facility cranes in order to improve their “real-life” inspection experience. Days are broken up into morning classroom sessions followed by afternoon hands-on training.
RIGGING INSPECTION TRAINING Our specialty rigging inspection training class is designed to enhance the safety of your material handling activities. Rigging failures account for a high percentage of crane accidents. Our inspectors find defective/ damaged rigging at nearly every site we inspect. Don’t let an inexpensive sling cause an expensive accident. Rigging inspection is required by OSHA/ ASME and should be a daily habit for all of your crane operators and riggers.
RIGGING TRAINING How many of your operators REALLY know how to rig a load. Do they understand load angles, center of gravity, multiple part sling use, weight estimation, etc? Proper rigging procedures are critical to safe lifts—rig it wrong and you’ve got a problem. Our rigging training is an intensive, hands on program that will ensure that all participants can safely and effectively rig a load. |
